Post-Shower Update :P

I was able to witness an amazing perseid meteor shower this year as well and once again, the heavens opened up their curtains on a cloudy evening :) It was a beautiful show; I think I saw a fireball this time, many little guys taking their sweet time meandering through the sky and tons of bright shooting stars.

HERE'S SOMETHING I BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW :

The Perseid meteor shower is actually associated with the comet Swift-Tuttle. The meteors are actually small parts that have become detached from the main body of the comet and when the Earth passes through the stream of particles, we see them as meteors, or shooting stars :)
Recent news reports have mentioned a possible collision between the Earth and Comet Swift-Tuttle on August 14, 2126
